Strong and yet soft are the watchwords for the next winter season weather.
The looks are modest, but with an edge that is indicated mostly through the materials - natural leather and big shaggy fur - and army accessories. Details give a womanly feel: pleats, pellets, down and percolate fleshlight sleeves.
Many designers displaying their winter season would wear on the second day of Milan Fashion Week on Friday give preference to rearfoot footwear, either equestrian-style or Victorian, most with extra rearfoot.
The pantsuit is making a return, but not at the price of outfits, which go through the fashion runways.
The basic scheme is black or white, with breaks of color including fall colors to shiny yellow, green and red. Multicoloured styles also make an appearance.
